Isn’t that the easy fix? Stop treating your brides like objects.
The Dowry system comes under the umbrella of male superiority which is predisposed from several centuries of social conditioning that has made a few men and their families believe that they have full right to treat a woman in any way or form they please, if their desires aren’t met.
My heart aches to think and know of any woman who has to bend over backwards to the breaking point JUST so they can keep their marriage/family’s image intact.
Our country is still lagging behind in so many areas.
